Mayo lighting buildings, hosting events in support of National Wear Red Day on Feb. 2
Friday, Feb. 2, is National Wear Red Day, a day when the eye-catching color is used to increase awareness of heart disease: the No. 1 killer in women.
You can find information on how to identify heart disease symptoms and prevention methods on mayoclinic.org. Symptoms can include chest pain or tightness, shortness of breath, pain or numbness in your arms and legs, or pain in the neck area. Protect your heart health and encourage loved ones to do the same by using this tracker to practice healthy habits in February.
At dusk on Feb. 2, the Plummer Building in Rochester, Mayo Clinic Hospital in Arizona, and Mayo Clinic Hospital in Florida will be lighted red to celebrate National Wear Red Day, as will many Mayo Clinic Health System locations.
