Mayo Clinic’s Plummer Building the star of Social-Ice 2024

Social-Ice 2024 is now history! It was a fantastic community celebration featuring activities and attractions suitable for all ages. Sixteen beautifully illuminated ice sculptures, including an intricately detailed Plummer Building, lined Peace Plaza, were viewed by large crowds. Attendees danced the night away to incredible DJ’s, enjoyed each other's company and savored a variety of delightful food and specialty drinks.

The family-friendly event, "Fam Jam," sponsored by Mayo Clinic, was a hit from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The event drew in a packed crowd of kids engaging in activities such as dancing, curling, toasting marshmallows, indulging in s'mores, crafting star catchers, and participating in various other games.

The unpredictable temperatures attracted more community members and guests from both near and far to explore Rochester’s downtown, showcasing its excellent dining options, enjoyable shopping experiences, and, as evidenced by Social-Ice, lots to do!
