Mayo Clinic Supports Family Fun for the Community at Social Ice 2023

Social-ICE FAM JAM was the free family fun day of downtown Rochester’s outdoor ice festival, presented by Mayo Clinic on Saturday, February 25, from 1-5pm.

It featured ice sculptures (including the Gonda piano pictured above) , a giant Lite Brite™, light-up hula hoops, illuminated jump ropes, Skip-Its™, a Plinko-style game, and a Wall of ICE, plus other winter activities for the entire family.

Unique photo opportunities and activities were everywhere at FAM JAM! An igloo warming house, actual sled dogs, Rockie the Raptor (from University of Minnesota Rochester) and Boomer,(the Rochester Grizzlies mascot), and kids of all ages sat behind a news anchor desk for a great photo! Fire pits, Sno Cones, Minnie Donuts, food trucks and s’mores made it a great day.
