Mayo Clinic recognized among ‘America’s Best Children’s Hospitals’ in Newsweek ranking
Mayo Clinic in Rochester was top-ranked in the nation by Newsweek in its 2023 list of "America's Best Children's Hospitals," released in July. This ranking is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the Children's Center team at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
"Our Children's Center is among the top children's hospitals in the nation," says Randall Flick, M.D., medical director for Mayo Clinic Children's Center. "This is a recognition of the excellence our team strives for in pediatric patient care, teaching and research."
The Newsweek rankings are based on survey results from more than 2,000 healthcare professionals and hospital managers with knowledge about pediatric care, along with results from patient satisfaction surveys and publicly reported hospital quality metrics relevant to pediatric care. Newsweek used those measures to produce a listing of the top 50 children's hospitals in the country.
Mayo Clinic Children's Center features a diverse group of caregivers in more than 70 pediatric specialties who go above and beyond to deliver world-class care to children and families in an environment designed to help kids thrive.
The team not only has extensive experience and a solid commitment to advancing innovations and research, but also leads the way in promising new therapies for children facing complex conditions.
"This honor truly belongs to our exceptional staff," Dr. Flick says. "Our pediatric physicians regularly see some of the most complex conditions and are experts at helping children achieve the best results possible physically, mentally and emotionally."
