Mayo Clinic Health System in SWWI hosts scrubs drive for La Crosse Warming Center

On Feb. 21, Mayo Clinic Health System in Southwest Wisconsin (MCHS in SWWI) held a collection drive for the La Crosse Warming Center, a shelter for adults experiencing housing insecurity during the cold winter months. The Surgical Specialties Ambulatory Nursing Department of La Crosse championed the event after its staff members served meals at the center and learned about its needs. MCHS employees came together to gather scrubs, coats, bath towels, undergarments, boots and shower essentials to donate. Donations like these help meet shelter residents’ basic needs, such as having scrubs to wear while doing laundry.
