The Lot 31 Local Food and Goods Markets has returned to the Rochester Saint Marys Campus on Wednesdays this fall. Events will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Central Time, rain or shine.

The weekly events will feature local restaurants, food trucks and carts, and options to order ahead. There also will be music, local artists, lawn, and board games, as well as seating and space to relax.

This year, the event has been moved to accommodate construction near Lot 31 and will take place on Marian Circle, located near Marian Hall on the Saint Marys Campus.

Increasing connections with each other, community

The idea for Lot 31 at Marian Circle was inspired by the Mayo Clinic Nursing Council, Mayo Clinic Community Engagement, and the Joy at Mayo Committee, and was based on staff feedback. After the success of last year's events, Hospital Administration partnered with the Department of Nursing to bring back the event.

"It's a way for Mayo Clinic staff to connect and support local businesses and hopefully drive customers to them," says Erin Sexton, enterprise director of Community Engagement. "It's exciting to make this a 'look forward to' event."

The events will be held each Wednesday through Oct. 18.
