Mayo Clinic in Rochester is joining Olmsted County in participating in "Operation Green Light" in honor of the approaching Veterans Day holiday. Beginning Monday, November 6 through Friday, November 10, 2023, the lights on the Plummer Building and the Mathews Dome at Mayo Clinic and the Government Center Rotunda will be illuminated green to honor veterans.

“Operation Green Light” is a unique way for our community to express deep gratitude for those who have served our nation. Veterans are valued members of our community, deserving our respect and recognition for their profound sacrifices.

Mayo Clinic will honor the service and sacrifices made by military veterans and their families with Veterans Day commemorations across the organization on Friday, Nov. 10.

Mayo Clinic expresses its gratitude through service to the community of veterans who are colleagues, patients, family and friends.

Facilities across Mayo Clinic will be lighted in red, white and blue to honor veterans on Saturday,  Nov. 11. This includes the Plummer Building in Rochester, Mayo Clinic Hospital in Arizona, the sign at the main entrance and the parking garage at Mayo Clinic in Florida, and certain buildings in Mayo Clinic Health System, including the Cancer Center in La Crosse and the front facade in Mankato.
