Wanted: Your volunteer needs where Mayo Clinic staff can help
With the season of giving right around the corner, we know that this time of year can be extra busy for so many nonprofits in our community. We invite you to share your volunteer needs on Mayo Clinic’s volunteer platform, Mayo Clinic Cares. Mayo Clinic Cares supports Mayo Clinic's mission and values by connecting staff with nonprofit organizations in the community that have volunteer needs. The program promotes staff involvement with community outreach while supporting efforts to advance diversity, equity and inclusion.
Step 1: Set up a profile on NPOconnect
NPOconnect is a free portal that nonprofits can use to create their charity profile. Creating a profile will make it easier for you to receive and manage your donations and volunteer opportunities for companies and their millions of employees.
NPOconnect allows NPOs to:
Manage and review volunteer hours corporate partner staff contribute to your NPO.
View donations and volunteer information for your organization.
Step 2: Get Informed
NPOconnect is the free portal through which NPOs can be part of YourCause's Global Good Network. NPOconnect allows NPOs to:
Visit YourCause's Help and Support page, which links to how-to documents, the help desk, chat and email support.
You may also submit a service request using the Nonprofit Platform Service Form.
View the NPOconnect Nonprofit Platform Handout for more information.
Step 3: Create a Volunteer Event
Follow this link to learn how to create a volunteer event. Through YourCause, you can not only create your event but also manage event details, publish the event, view the participants, and send emails.
More resources are also available here through the YourCause dashboard.
For questions about setting up your account, use the link at the bottom of the NPOconnect page to view FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), email or live chat with a support representative. Visit the Mayo Clinic Cares website to learn more about the program or email Mayo Clinic Community Relations.
