Mayo Clinic contributes more than $900,000 to support community efforts in Q2, 2024 

Mayo Clinic contributed more than $900,000 in the second quarter of 2024 to advance community efforts in Rochester and Olmsted County around health care access, mental health, economic vibrancy, youth mentorship and enrichment, addiction recovery, safe and affordable housing, literacy, education and arts and culture. 

Highlights include: 

Bear Creek Services to support residential and other supportive services for adults with disabilities. 

Bolder Options to support mentoring programs for local youth. 

Boy Scouts of America to develop citizenship, leadership and personal development skills among area children and youth.   

SPARK/Children’s Museum of Rochester to enrich learning and lives of children and families in the SE Minnesota region.  

Doc’s Recovery House to provide recovery housing and peer support services to adults working to overcome addiction.  

Hiawatha Homes Foundation to help sponsor their annual Festival of Trees Gala supporting adults with disabilities.  

Hometown Resource Center to support food shelf efforts in St. Charles, MN.  

Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association of SE Minnesota to help recent refugees and immigrants rebuild self-sufficiency, wellness and pursue opportunities to contribute to the Rochester community. 

Jeremiah Program to support programs that help single parent families leave poverty.  

National Black Data Processing Associates, Inc. Southern Minnesota Chapter to enrich youth through data processing mentorship. 

Project Get Outdoors to provide nature enrichment experiences for children and youth.  

Project Legacy to provide mentorship services to at-risk youth. 

Reach Out and Read to provide summer literacy enrichment to area children.  

Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Greater Rochester Community Impact Projects to enhance communication, mental health and outdoor recreational resources for children with disabilities and promote the Credible Minds platform to advance mental health access in Rochester.  

Rochester Community and Technical College Foundation to support new dental education resources and reduce the shortage of dental professionals serving Olmsted County. 

Rochester Public Library Foundation to enhance literacy and information resources for local residents.  

Rochester Repertory Theatre to support upcoming local theater productions. 

Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale to support their upcoming concert season. 

The Reading Center/Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota, Inc. to support reading and tutoring services in area schools for children with dyslexia.  

Zumbro Valley Medical Society Foundation to improve health care access and coordination for people living with homelessness in Olmsted County.
